Lucas Anthony Messner

Lucas was the son of the late Susie Rehm and Gary Messner, born on April 9, 1985, in Phoenix, AZ. Lucas was the fourth child born to Susie and Gary.

In 2011, Lucas met Amanda Cole, they went on to have two beautiful children, Adalynn Messner (11) and Ryder Messner (8). Lucas was a doting father, whether it was a back scratch before bed, nose-to-nose cuddles, or a fun afternoon at their favorite jump spot, the children knew his love for them ran deep. Being a father to Adalynn and Ryder was his most proud achievement in life.

Those that knew him best would describe Lucas as loving, goofy, charming, and a troublemaker, with a grander-than-life personality. He had a knack for getting on the nerves of those closest to him and thoroughly enjoyed doing so. While Lucas was well into his thirties, he remained a child at heart, cruising the canals on a go-ped scooter, romping through the neighborhood on a go-kart, dropping in at the local skatepark, and having more fun than anyone else around him.

Throughout his life, Lucas was referred to in many ways, but most importantly, he was a son, grandson, brother, uncle, husband, loving father, and a friend. He will be missed by many.

Lucas was predeceased by his parents, Susie Rehm and Gary Messner. Survivors include his children, Adalynn and Ryder Messner, ex-wife Amanda Cole; brothers, Dallas Messner, Michael Messner [Summer Messner], and Travis Messner; His sister Lilly Messner; His nephews Dylan Messner, Lincoln Messner, and Maveryck Messner; His niece Jocelyne Barrett; His Grandmother, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
