I am so saddened by the death of my lifelong friend.  When we first met over fifty years ago we didn't really care for each other.  Could be that we were on opposing summer softball teams.  We were in the same sixth grade class and became fast friends.  Her family treated me like I was one of their own.  It seemed like I was with them more than with my own family.  We spoke occasionally over the years and more often over the last five years.  She lit up a room whenever she came in and always made you feel special.  I am so happy that she was able to find love and happiness again with Charlie after the death of her husband Les a few years earlier.  I lo he and will miss you terribly my dear dear friend.  My prayers and deepest sympathy are with the family and Charlie.  May your special memories keep Linda alive in your hearts..............    :(

Linda had a way of making everyone around her feel happy.  She came into my first grade classroom and was such a natural with the children.  They loved her.  I am very thankful that I had the opportunity to work with her at New River.  To her family, I am so very sorry for your loss.

Linda you will always be in my heart. You have always been an inspiration to me. I only wished I could of gotten to know you more in my adult life. I will miss you dearly. To the family I am so sorry for your loss and that I can not be there during this time. If you need anything please give me a call. Jeanette if you need to talk I am always there for you. My sincere condolences go out to Linda's family, many who are a part of the New River School family. I had the privilege of working with Linda for a couple years at New River School, she was a caring, kind, and beautiful person with a contagious smile that brightened everyone's day, including all of the students she worked with.  I know Linda has a wonderful family, which was especially evident when you watched her interact with her sister, Sheila, always in a humorous, loving, and fun way. May the wonderful memories of Linda carry you through this difficult time.

Services will be held at the Christ's Church of the Valley 7007 W Happy Valley Rd, Peoria, AZ 85383 on Thursday July 2nd at 10:00 AM.

I knew Linda because of her parents, Betty & Leroy Sweat.  She was a wonderful woman always smiling throughout troubles, always ready to help someone in need & always a wonderful daughter, wife & Mother, She will be really missed but know she is in Heaven.
