Kathleen McMillan

Kathleen McMillian passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 82 years old on November 02, 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona. Kathleen was born to Hulbert McMillian and Tessie Gray on October 01, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois. Kathleen earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Ottawa University Juanita. She worked in a Chicago Public Library from the age of 14 to 20 years of age. Kathleen married John Richard Morris in 1959. Kathleen was a homemaker and worked for the state of Arizona for 18 years. She had a passion for reading, painting, crossword puzzles and soduku. Kathleen also loved to play the piano and the violin. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and she would treasure family gatherings more than anything. Kathleen was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her Daughters; Adrienne from Sweden and Elanie Morris from Phoenix, Arizona, Sons; Glenn (Marilou) and Stephen (Beckie) Morris from Phoenix, Arizona, Grandchildren; Leonard (Jessica) Morris, Bevin, Crystal, Kelly, Melissa, Michael and Richard Morris from Phoenix, Arizona, Great-Grandchildren; Lena Shea Morris, Brother; Kenneth McMillian from Chicago, Illinois, Sister; Sandra Galloway from Coffeyville, Kansas, Niece and Nephews; Shelia Brown, Melvin Morris, Caleb Galloway, Terry Robinson, Nora McMillian, Gordon McMillian, Brian Morris. Cousin; Marion Bond from Chicago, Illinois. She is preceded in death by her Mother Tessie Gray and her Father Hulbert McMillan, Sisters; Geraldine, Elaine, Gussy and Margie, Brothers; Henry, Deforest, Ulrich, Hulbert "Big Boy" Junior Harold McMillian, Cousins; Rosalind, Yolanda and DeForest Junior. Kathleen will return to her home town of Chicago, Illinois.

A cremation for Kathleen will be held Monday, November 13, 2017 at Greenwood/Memory Lawn Crematory, 2300 West Van Buren, Phoenix, AZ 85009.
