A place to call home-Juanita (Jenny) Torres Cabecera was 86 year old when she entered eternal rest 8/11/2022. Jenny was born Odem Texas 1/14/1936, preceded in death: Husband; Adelaido (Layo) Cabecera, Parents Alfonso S. Torres and Viviana P. Torres. Siblings Tom, Eusevia, Lino, Don, Maria and Alejandro. Daughter: Irene C. Tapia, grandsons: Richard Adelaido Olguin, Frank Cabecera Jr "Chino", and Robert James Cuellar. Surviving sister: Virginia Portales(Chata), Surviving children Frances Pena(Frank), Tony Cabecera(Becky), Esther Cuellar(Freddie), Lydia C. Olguin(Santiago), Robert Cabecera Sr.(Rebecca), 24 Grandchildren, 37 Great Grandchildren, 6 Great-Great Grandchildren. Countless adopted children and live in friends.
Juanita’s greatest joy was family and creating memories. Juanita always gave to anyone in need and was always present when needed. Jenny was loved and admired by everyone she met. A fierce yet very kind woman who always had fun in life, anyone who crossed her path fell in admiration. Everyone has a word and Jenny’s word was “LOVE”. Services will be held 8/18/2022 at 10AM Resthaven 4310 E. Southern Ave. Phoenix, AZ, A celebration of Life to follow 2:00-5:00PM Elks Lodge #2251, 2320 S. Hardy Dr. Tempe, AZ.
