John Eric Tomazin Sr., age 59, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on October 7, 2024. He was born on May 29, 1965 in Elmhurst, Illinois. John dedicated his life to serving others as a respected member of the Phoenix Fire Department and the Hot Shot crew. His commitment to public service was exemplified through his involvement in the immunization program, where he worked tirelessly to ensure the health and safety of his community. John's passion for the outdoors was evident in his love for hiking and participating in triathlons. A fervent supporter of the Cardinals, he cherished every moment of the game, whether cheering from the stands or watching at home with family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary, his son, John Jr. (McKenna); his parents, Margaret and Emil Tomazin; his sister, Heather Spencer; his brother, Michael Tomazin; and a host of nieces, nephews, lifelong friends and his entire Phoenix Fire Department family. He was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Tomazin, as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents. A service to honor John's life will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Christ's Church of the Valley (CCV) - Peoria, 7007 W Happy Valley Rd, Peoria, AZ 85383. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's name to the 100 Club, an organization close to John's heart. John's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched with his generosity and dedication.
