John "Jack" Edward Lavery Sr., of Phoenix, AZ passed away on July 10, 2011. John was born in Newark, NJ June 27, 1926. He served honorably in the United States Navy CB’s during World War II in the Pacific Theater of Operations and was very proud of his time in the service. John was also a member of Local 359 as a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker for over 60 years and coached for the Clarendon Little League. John was preceded in death by his parents John P and Catherine (Durkin) Lavery, his daughter Roseann, and son-in-law Pat Solinski. He leaves behind his wife of over 46 years Kay (Stephens), children John “Jack” Jr (Darlene), Brian (Coleen), Sean (Susan), Ken (Jennifer), Tom (Amy) and Rachel (Rob) Fitzgerald, 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10am on Friday, July 15, 2011 at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W. Bethany Home Rd. in Phoenix.
