Jeffrey Mark Shaffer, 55, passed away in God’s loving arms on April 4, 2013, after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Jeff was born in Youngstown, Ohio December 24, 1957 to James and Ruth Wilson Shaffer. Jeff graduated from Springfield Local high School in Petersburg, Ohio in 1976. Jeff moved to Arizona in the late 1980s where he was an Air conditioning, heating and ventilation technician for the city of Phoenix at Sky Harbor airport. Jeff retired from the airport due to acquiring Myotonic dystrophy. Jeff was preceded in death by his dad James B. shaffer in 1997. Jeff is survived by his mother, Ruth L Wilson Shaffer, His twin sister Jennifer S. Shaffer D’Urbano, his sister Frances E. Shaffer Rowley and Brother Gary A. Shaffer. Jeff also leaves his brother in laws, Timothy D. Rowley, John B. D’Urbano and his sister in law Pamela Townsend Shaffer. He also leaves his loving nieces Melissa A. Rowley, Karen M. Dean, Lilyrose Fox, and his nephews Timothy J. Rowley, Jeremy L. Shaffer, Titus G. Shaffer, James D. Mounts, Bradley S. Grace, Nickolas J. Dean and Alexander M. Dean. He also leaves many cousins, aunts and uncles. Jeff loved the outdoors where he spent many good times riding his ATV, fishing and camping. He was a big fan of the Pittsburg Steelers. He loved listening to country music and enjoyed playing games with his family during family get gatherings. Jeff loved life and he dearly loved his family. Jeff’s girlfriend Cheryl Schramm stayed by his side the entire time he was ill and was by his side when he passed. A grave side service was held at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary.
