James was a wise, kind-hearted man who served in the US Army as a combat engineer in the Korean War. He acted bravely, receiving the Bronze Medal Star for Heroic Achievement. The citation for Outstanding Service Again the Enemy mentions his calm demeanor, determined spirit, and selfless devotion to duty.
James loved fishing and the outdoors, unless indoors had family, good food, westerns, or a casino.
He was happily married to Jane Conway-Stout for over fifty years. He is survived by his children James, Richard, and Jennifer; his brother Michael; his granddaughters Amber and Christine; as well as his great grandchildren Elia, Zaden, Kylan, Korben, Ryker, and Taven.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in James’ memory to the Wounded Warriors, https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate.
