“AL” was born Henry A. Williams Jr. the 24 January 1948 in Savannah, Georgia. His mother, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth will be ninety –nine years old in four (4) months, lives in New Jersey. To date, his father, Henry Williams, Sr, deceased.
AL was educated in Savannah, GA and graduated from; Benjamin Franklin High School in Philadelphia, PA, then attending Lincoln University in PA, earning a BS degree in mechanical engineering. Served in the U.S. Marine Corp. A Vietnam Combat Decorated Veteran. Serving two (2) tours in Vietnam, four (4) years in the USMC.
Upon his return home, his first job was for Bell Helicopter for fifteen (15) years, and then Boeing Aircraft Airlines for 35 years and he received his graduate degree while employed with Boeing as a aeronautic mechanical engineer. His team built aircraft like Air Force One, with Boeing he and his team traveled the world in a number of different countries.
He came home from time to time telling us of his adventures and his travels to these different countries. His life was made up of traveling to different parts of the world and countries in which he enjoyed every minute and moments in time.
AL, never married, had no children but, he loved his family especially, his nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers.
He leaves behind to mourn him, his brothers; John, Sr. of Long Island, NY, James of Newark, NJ, Albert of Washington D.C. his sisters; Marie of Savannah, GA, Gladys of Savannah, GA and a hosts of nieces; Sharon, Cheryl, Sharnette, Krystal, Keisha, Cheronda, Shantae, Michole, and nephews; John, Jr., and Joel.
He was a proud, peaceful and loving man and he will never be forgotten.
