Gilbert Jacques, 84 of Phoenix, AZ, born on August 29, 1929, passed away on September 30, 2013 surrounded by his children. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Duvy of 54 years & a great granddaughter. He is survived by his 4 children, Grace Vega (Randy), Gilbert Jr. (Margie), Cathy Pompa (Joey) and Albert, 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren & 3 great great grandchildren and brother, Hito Jaques of California.
He was a WWII veteran, a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 41 & a retiree from the City of Phoenix-Water & Sewer Dept.
He will be missed by his many family and friends.
Services will be held on Thursday October 3, 2013 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, viewing from 5:00pm - 8:00pm with rosary at 7:00pm. Funeral mass on Friday October 4, 2013 at 9:00am at St. Matthew's Catholic Church with intermittent to follow at St. Frances Catholic Cemetery.
