It is with a sense of deep sadness that we announce the the passing of George Raymond Langland at the age of 89 “Ray,” as he was more familiarly known, had been unwell for some time and passed away peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on November 25th at 8:07 am.
Ray leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Judy, along with four children, Linda, Janet, Bart, and Daniele; six
grandchildren, Aaron, Adam, Tania, Dylan Ethan, Kyra and four great-grandchildren Tarren, Kelsey, Samuel and Sophia.
Ray was a man of integrity, honor, and intelligence, but one of his most remarkable qualities was his unique sense of humor. He maintained this to the end, showing love and compassion to those caring for him by making them laugh. Ray had a solid and passionate faith, which was evident to all who knew him. He was a Senior Scientist at Raychem for close to 30 years of his life, and then after retirement, he was involved with his church, but more importantly, he invested his time in his family. Ray helped raise his grandchildren Tama, Dylan, Ethan, and Kyra. He supported them unconditionally throughout their lives which is evident in their current endeavors and their respect and adoration for their grandfather.
Ray was Such a Bright Light for Jesus and will be sadly missed.
The memorial service will be held in Placerville in the new year: information to follow
