Fran was born in Astoria, New York, to her parents, George and Anne Dunnery, who were first-generation immigrants from Scotland, coming to the United States through Ellis Island.. Fran was raised in Astoria and attended William C. Bryant High School. When she was 18, she joined the U.S. Army on a bet. It was during her time in the Army that she would meet the love of her life, Thomas Drane, on a blind date. They went on to be married and shared 42 beautiful years together.
Besides being a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Fran was a very hard worker. She had many jobs over the years, including her time served in the U.S. Army, with Motorola as a supervisor, as a secretary for DPS and St. Luke's Medical Center, and most recently acting as the supervisor for the answering service at A.L. Moore-Grimshaw Mortuary.
Fran is survived by her daughter Maryanne Gallo (Joe); her son Michael Drane (Jodi); and her daughter Meghan Drane; her granddaughter Christina Duran (Ricky), her grandson Jacob Drane, her grandson Zachary Drane and her great granddaughter Faith Zenko.
Fran was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Drane; her son Johnny Drane; her grandson Caleb Drane.
