Elnora (Nora) Arlene Edwards, 81, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away October 28. 2013. She was born in Barton County, Missouri on September 8,1932 to John and Velma Bell, who have preceded her in death. Nora and her family moved to Phoenix in 1938 on her 6th birthday and considered herself a native of Arizona. Nora graduated from Phoenix Union High School in 1951 and married her high school sweetheart, Richard V. Edwards on July 2, 1950. They have celebrated 63 years of marriage. Nora was the head cashier for AJ Bayless Mkts for 33 yrs and retired in 1987. Nora was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Nora had a passion for her family, traveling, and crafts.
Nora is survived by her husband, Richard; her three chIldren. Helen (Patrick) Neese, Rich (Jennie) Edwards, and Debra (Tony) Fiore; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchIldren.She is also survived by her sisters, Jennie Stedman of Phoenix, Az and Kathryn Nagel of Freeport, MI.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 6-8 PM with funeral service on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 11 AM, both at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W. Bethany Home Rd, Phoenix, AZ. Interment immediately following at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery.
