Eddie was born in Denver, Colorado. He served in the United States Marine Corps from January 6, 1959, until June 8, 1965. After retiring from the military, Eddie spent the next 50 years as a professional truck driver. He was an owner-operator for many of those years, driving from coast to coast. He retired in 2005. He was a self-taught guitar player, with a beautiful voice - - singing and playing for loved ones and friends was his favorite pastime. Eddie is survived by his wife of 42 years, Valory Jane Doss; his former wife, Carole Joyce Short, mother of his four children, Jennene Denning, Corinne Thompson, Eddie Ralph Doss, Jr. and Cristine Berensohn; three step-children, Jimmy Scrivano, Paul Scrivano and Angela Roberts; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren; five sisters, Delores Skeith, Beverly Lenox, Glenna Purcell, Jeanette Rust, Janice Clark; and multiple nieces and nephews. Eddie was preceded in death by his mother, Pearlie Jeanette Stenhouse Pool; his father, Reuben Ralph Doss; his sister, Jewel Sarno; and his brother, Lester Coffman. Eddie will be dearly missed by his family and his many friends who love him.
