Douglas R Edwards Lived in Phoenix Arizona, passed away Peacefully on March 25th, 2022 at the Beatitudes Adult Living where he lived. Douglas was predeceased by his wife Mary Edwards. He is survived by a son Stephen and daughter-in-law Cheryl, and daughter Annalee Leyva. Grandchildren Stephen Edwards II, Stephanie Villareal Flusche, Daniel Villareal, Cecilia Villareal Zimmerman, and lots of nieces and nephews.
Douglas most favorite place to be, was up at his cabin at Forest Lakes. Douglas was retired Air Force since 1971 at age 38, went in at 18, was most proud to get the check every month. Loved to play golf and fish as his hobbies. Douglas was born in Baxter Kansas, at 2 years old family moved to Oakland California. Douglas graduated from Castlemont High School in1951. After the military Douglas went to work for Asarco Minning in Casa Grande, Arizona retired with them later. Douglas lived for a while at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Washington DC, thought it was to cold so moved back to his beloved state of Arizona.
