He was born in Evanston, Illinois and lived in Pacific Palisades, California with his parents Joseph and Lore Kingsley. He graduated from Arizona State University and lived in Arizona since 1982. He was a teacher, a softball coach, a Pop Warner and high school football referee. He was on Hospice at the time of his death surrounded by love from his children, his five grandchildren, his brother and sister-in-law and a close family friend, Gary Gorman.
He is survived by his wife Myra J. Kingsley, his children, Beth Anne Paynich, Christine Young, Jeffrey (J.T.) Kingsley. His grandchildren, Cameron, Zoe (Reese), and Cooper Morgan, Olivia and John Young, his two step-grandchildren Ashley and Hunter Paynich, his son-in-law Bryan Paynich, his brother Roger Kingsley and sister-in-law Lisa Kingsley.
His was a life well lived, living a life overflowing with love and kindness for his family. His quiet love and support were always there, whatever we did or wherever we went. His kindness was not just for his family but spread to all he met, for his students as a teacher, a coach, a pop warner and high school football referee. He was always incredibly kind and caring to others and was able to strike up conversations and find common ground with everyone he met. To be with him, you realized there was still good in this world. Our entire family is completely devastated by his loss, but his impact on us and countless others who met him will endure forever.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley or Nourish Phoenix Food and Clothing Bank.
