Dianna Butler LaPrade passed away peacefully on May 26, 2022 with her children by her side. Dianna was born to Wilma Lea and Charles Eugene Butler on October 16, 1948 in Panama City, Panama. Her father worked for Sinclair Oil and Dianna lived in Central and South America until her mid-teens, learning fluent Spanish, riding horses, and making friends with people from all over the world. After her family relocated to the United States, Dianna’s love and interest in adventure, travel, and meeting new people stayed with her always.
Dianna spent many years working at Berridge Nurseries, always so proud of the joy her holiday shop creations brought others. Dianna was an excellent cook and consummate hostess, avid reader, and world traveler. She treasured her coffee over crossword puzzles, laughs with her girlfriends of 50+ years, and the beauty and small-town feel of living in Phoenix. Dianna was a loving mother to Allyson, Zachary, and Lauren, and a fun, dancing grandmother to Merritt, Dylan, Beau, and Ruby. She is survived by her husband George Hudon of Phoenix, her sister, Michelle Butler of Glendale, CA and her brother Mark Butler of Glenrose, TX. A celebration of Dianna's life will be planned for November, her favorite time of year in the Valley.
"Loved. You can't use it in the past tense. Death does not stop that love at all." -Ken Kesey
