Condolences to Danica's family. Like my Cal Poly colleagues, I also remember Danica with great fondness - her cheerfulness, sense of humor, and competence as well. Rest in peace Danica, I miss you.

"Dear Danica, I will forever remember your sweet smile, and constant laughter.  We shared lots of happy times and many many stories on our carpool rides together.  You forever had candy in your pockets, and your jumbo "On the go sipper cup" ready to tackle anything.  You will forever hold a special place in my heart."  Cal Poly had a gem when we had you!!!

The two things I remember best about Danica, besides her energy and intelligence (she was a very good colleague), is, first, her wicked and irreverent sense of humor. Others I know will agree. She was never mean spirited at all. But she had a fun way of seeing things. The other is that I don't think she ever knew a stranger. She was fearless. The first conversation I had with her was like I had known her for years. Having her as a friend was among the best of times. I will add that she was very proud of her family and background of generations in Arizona.

Thinking of Danica and her wonderful sense of humor brings a smile to my face. She will always be part of the Cal Poly Pomona University Library's family. My condolences goes out to her family for their loss. Rest in peace Danica.  With love.

Your beautiful smile and easy laughter livened up the the library and the students really appreciated your friendly expert help. My sweet Bunny, you helped me survive childhood, navigate through the teen years, supported & loved me as a young Mom to 3 wonderful kids; who she thought of as her own babies. You invited me to California for "anti-Mommy" trips for my sanity & came back to Arizona so we could help you through you trying years. I love you and will miss you always.
