Brenda C Burks

Brenda Burks passed away suddenly but peacefully Sunday December 8, 2024, surrounded by her family and wonderful friends. She is survived by her loving sisters, Karen and Denise Burks, sister in law Lana Burks, niece April (Brandon) Richter, nephew Matthew Wolfe, great nephews Derek and Cade Richter and great niece Mattingly Richter. She is now reunited in heaven with her parents, Zeff and Laverne Burks, brothers Stoney and Ricky, and sister Kathy Wolfe.

Brenda was a strong, uplifting, independent woman with a positive attitude and quick sense of humor. She greeted everyone with a beautiful smile and encouraging, kind words. She was dedicated to er family and strong in her faith. She loved music and cooking and had an eye for detail. Her favorite way to spend time was visiting with family and friends on the back patio with a glass of good wine.

Although her family will miss her greatly, we will continue to spread love and kindness in her memory, as her beautiful light lives on in all of us. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to Breakthrough T1D, formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
