Billy Lowe Gibson Sr.

Billy Lowe Gibson Sr., 74 years old, passed away on December 7, 2013. He was born on January 13, 1939 in Phoenix, AZ. Beloved husband of 54 years to wife Mary Ann Gibson. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle to many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Skeet and Lurline Gibson and and beloved son Dallas Gibson. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Gibson; son, Billy Gibson Jr. and wife Wanda; daughter, Robbin Gibson Hood (Ricky Hood); grandchildren, Ashlee (Ryan), Jameson, Amy and Jessie (Lee) Hood; great-granddaughter, Paiten Gibson; brother, Robert "Hoot" and Beverly Gibson; sister, Shirley Ann and David Faulkenberg. Bill spent many years managing Reeves Sand and and Rock and opened his own tire business. Then he began selling fire trucks which he loved. He found great joy in life. Sprint car racing was a life long love as a mechanic and owner. There will be a visitation on Friday, December 13, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A.L. Moore-Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W. Bethany Home Rd., Phoenix, AZ. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren St., Phoenix, AZ.
