I was very sad to hear about the recent passing of Anna… I am a spin instructor at a CycleBar in northern Phoenix, and she would frequently come. Last time I saw her, she brought me the shirt as a gift and we had a good laugh. She will be missed dearly.

Anna was our daughter, Sam’s best friend. Sam loved her so much.  We had the opportunity to get to know Anna while they were on the Sunrise Mountain Cheer team. We enjoyed getting to know Anna when she would be over at our home. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She definitely had a zest for life that sparkled brightly. She sprinkled love, kindness and laughter everywhere she went and touched so many lives. We are fortunate to have Anna leave footprints on our hearts. We’ll all miss you … 😢
Our prayers for comfort and healing are with her family and friends. 


Anna is as special as they come. We met in 8th grade at cheer tryout for Sunrise Mountain. She was immediately liked by everyone. Even all the older girls wanted to be her friend. She was cool without even trying. She was hilarious, talented, warm, and everyone gravitated toward her bubbly personality. I was lucky enough to become one of her best friends that year and we stayed super close all through high school. We had such a great group of girls! There was no drama. We truly just had the best time together. I have so many memories swimming/dancing in her parents pool, playing games with her family, going on double dates, getting dressed up and going to dinner, cheer trips, and so on. One time her side mirror broke on her car, so we went to the dollar tree and bought a hand held mirror that she taped on as a replacement… now that’s innovation! Absolutely genius lol! She was just the best person to be around. I am forever changed by the love and kindness she showed me and strive to be more like her everyday. I love you, Anna. Until we meet again, my sweet friend, I will continue to remember your crazy self and smile. 

Oh, Anna. Most young adults I would meet at the age I met you were typically so guarded and avoided meeting my eyes. (Former school lunch lady and mom to “those triplets”.) Right away, you were different, so  much so, that I wondered if you were real. 
My goodness what a delight you were. Your smile, genuine openness and (always made me laugh) conversations were effortless, knowing each member of my family and what I loved to talk about. You touched my heart and I thought of you long after leaving Mountainside. 
You were a blessing to everyone around you and I’m thankful I was a small part of it.

In every picture I see pure, true love whether it was with Clayton or in photos with family.  I had the privilege to talk with Anna on several occasions when she and Clayton would visit Florida. Her smile was contagious and gracious. 
My heart breaks for you Clayton, Anna's family and our family.
Anna was an angel on earth and now she's in heaven receiving her rewards.
All I can say is I'm so very sorry and to the ones closest to her, live life to the fullest like she would've wanted you to.

Anna truly was the life of every party. She was always flailing around doing something ridiculously funny. I knew you for so many years as Alexis annoying little sister but as we got older I really started to bond with you and love you so very much. You are missed beyond words Anna. "When we lose someone we love we must learn, not to live without them, but to live with the love they left behind"

Her and Clay won our unofficial costume contest - they dressed in marching groovy 70s outfits. If I remember correctly, Clay had an Afro! And the cutest part was Anna told us that Clay was the one who picked out and bought the get ups. I loved seeing their BEAUTIFUL relationship and just like Anna, Clay was kind to me like i was their own friend. 

My best friend Sam (right) introduced me to Anna years ago and i love this old photo of us. Circa 2017. ❤️ She is and will always be Sam’s best friend and i am so happy i was able to be a friend of Anna’s.

There are still no words that feel right because Anna was truly the best. Her goofy personality always made for the funnest times. I feel your presence most through your favorite songs and I keep dancing just like you would. I know you’re dropping it low up there and showing everyone a good ass time. I am so thankful to have had such a badass best friend and now my badass Angel. She’s the baddest of them all!!! 

The SMHS spirit-line was a wonderful group of girls. Our daughter Kara made the best friends from that group and she and Anna were like two peas in a pod. They were crazy and fun.  Anna’s energy and smile are one of a kind. I know Anna left a beautiful imprint that is etched in Kara’s heart forever.  Mike, Mary, Clayton and family, we hold your family in our hearts. Love those videos! Anna will always make us smile!

Anna, I’ll forever cherish our younger years together as you were a staple in my gymnastics days. You were always the life of the party and could make a whole room smile instantly. Now you brought the party to Jesus. It’s not a goodbye just a see you later 🤍 Forever in my heart, thank you for the few years we had together.

This picture is so, so special to me. It was taken at the Shaw Butte house where so many of our childhood memories were made. Anna was my girl; we both had a love for gymnastics, some thought we were sisters and I just love how we are holding hands in this picture. I love you, baby girl.

Even though I didn’t know Anna very well. I remember her spunky personality and her humor. She truly seemed to love everyone around her.  Anna will be missed immensely by everyone she encountered. 

We only got to know Anna over the last month or so through Mary, Mike, and Clay. It was clear that Anna was a very special individual that was loved by many and impacted those around her in such a positive way during her far too brief time here on earth. 

We grieve with the family and pray for peace and strength to come to them in this extremely difficult time.

A memory I will cherish forever. This was the night I met Anna and I felt like I’ve known her for a million years. Her positivity and laugh were so contagious. She was the light in any room. I’m so lucky to have her as a friend, even though I only got to see her twice a year. Thank you Clayton for bringing such an incredible woman in my life and someone I look up too. I want to live every day like Anna, for Anna. A friendship I will never forget and one that’s not replaceable. Sending so many prayers and love to everyone. Anna is remarkable. Anna is and always will be the life of the party. She is my best friend Sam’s best friend and she treated me like one of her own friends. She drove me somewhere when I didn’t have a car, showed me one of my favorite songs of all time “you’re on” by madeon, made me laugh, made me feel like I belonged and she always made everything she came to more fun. I am sending so much love and good vibes and prayers to her, her family and friends. Thank you for being such a bright light in a dim world.
