Amanda was truly a ray of sunshine, illuminating every room she walked into. A beautiful soul, with an amazing heart and an incomparable love for her family and friends. She will be unequivocally missed by us all.
Amanda Brown Jorgensen was born in Tazewell, VA on November 5th, 1977. She is one of three children, belonging to Dr. Robert and Mrs. Joan Brown. She had a fierce love for her family and friends, especially her nieces, nephews, and her fur baby Deke.
Growing up she was an avid swimmer, lifeguard, and cheerleader. You would be hard pressed to find her anywhere but outside. It should then come as no surprise that she loved all sports, but especially college football (the most fun football to watch if you asked her). She was truly a sports fanatic that could go toe to toe with anyone on sports trivia and planned her time off around sporting events.
A lover of the outdoors, she would often run and hike the beautiful landscape where she lived. Whether that be the sand between her toes at the beach or the desert sun on her back, she was always up for another hour outside.
As a professional she was always willing to put forth that extra mile. She loved and was beloved by her colleagues and often stated that she was so passionate about her job because of the people that were around her.
Amanda was always willing to stop what she was doing to help a friend in need, no matter what it was. Spreading kindness was her purpose and seeing others happy, made her happy. We will deeply miss her every day.
If you were lucky enough to meet her, you were a better person for it.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Jorgensen, her stepson, Eric Jorgensen, her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Robert G. Brown, brother, Matthew Brown (April), sister, Jennifer French, and nephew, Ryan French, niece, Anna Maddison Meyers, and nephew, Daniel Brown.
