Alan William King, 88, born in Zelienople, Pennsylvania, entered into heaven in Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday, January 15, 2023. Alan was born the second of five children to Helen (Stoops) and George Vance King on March 26, 1934.
Alan grew up in Pennsylvania. He graduated from Zelienople High School in 1952 and was a star on the football team. Alan started college just after high school and graduated from Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA, on a football scholarship. He was then drafted into the US Army where he served three years working as an Army Financial Clerk and a Personnel Administrator, then was honorably discharged. With his background in Finance, Alan landed a position as a Banker in Pittsburg, and then moved on to Atlantic City, New Jersey, where he spent 11 years in banking. In 1973 Alan relocated to Phoenix, AZ, and shortly after became a Real Estate Broker. He continued working in that field for the next 45 years, until his passing.
Alan was a people person. He loved to be social and talk to people. He will be remembered for his love of life and warm smile.
Alan leaves behind his sister, Beverly Labor and brother, Kenneth King; Nieces and nephews, Gordon King, Melissa King, Mike Ruff, Paul Ruff, John Ruff and Melanie King.
Alan was welcomed in heaven by his mother, Helen & father, George and his brothers, Gary and Paul. Alan will be interred at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.
