3rd in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431 N/280 W, Phenix City, AL. 36867 with Pastor Larry Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Russell was born April 13, 1914 in Pike County, Alabama, daughter of the late Robert Phelps and Sarah McClendon. She was a member of the Phenix City Church of Christ. Other than her parents Mrs. Russell is preceded in death by her husband, Ned Russell, daughter, Annie Mae Tillery, sons, H. Stanley Russell and Matthew Russell. 2 grandchildren and numerous brothers and sisters
