John Frank Spurlock

A visitation for family and friends for John will be held Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867, followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 2:00 PM.

Mr. Spurlock was born March 16, 1947 in Dale County, Alabama; son of the late William Thomas and Claudie Allums Spurlock. He was currently employed with Continental Carbon, he loved Alabama football, Braves baseball, watching westerns, traveling with his wife and family and most of all playing golf with his son-in-law, Will and grandson, Blythe.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John "Pepper" Spurlock and his sister, Martha.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Tillery Spurlock, sons, James "Jamie" Spurlock (Aimee), Tyler Spurlock, daughters, Michelle Creech (William), Jennifer Colwell, grandchildren, Kelly, Whitt, Railey, Adah, loving grandson, Blythe, two great grandchildren, Madalyn and Hayden.
