Nestor Garza

Nestor Garza, 66, entered into eternal rest on January 2, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will begin at 6 PM followed by a celebration of life service at 7 PM on Thursday January 6, 2022 at Del Angel Palm Valley Funeral Home in Pharr on Sugar and Nolana.

Nestor was the son of Juanita and Jesus M. Garza of Pharr, TX. After he graduated high school in 1974, he took a job with the Texas Department of Transportation where he dedicated 30 years of service. After he retired in 2008, he spent most of his time with his wife of 40 years, Maria Andrea of McAllen, and his two children, Christina and David Garza.

Nestor was happiest when he was surrounded by family and took great pride in his children. Many will remember him as thoughtful, quick-witted, funny, and a friend to all. He was one-of-a-kind and irreplaceable. He will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Juanita and Jesus M. Garza. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Maria Andrea Garza; son, David Garza (Candice); daughter Christina Garza; and brother, Roel Garza (Blanca).
