Maria was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was a devoted Christian, always reading her bible and praying for her family. She enjoyed gardening and spending quality time with her beloved family.
Mrs. Almazan was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Almazan; two daughters, Uvalda and Angelina Almazan.
She is survived by her children; Belen (+Raul) Macias, Jose (Estela +) Almazan, Gabriel (Alejandrina) Almazan, Esperanza (Guadalupe) Villarreal, Marisela (Ignacio) Vega, and Aide (Cipriano) Zuniga; 26 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family.
Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 10 pm, with a 7 pm, rosary on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Funeral Catholic Mass will take place at 10 am on Monday, February 27, 2023, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
