Jose Manuel Salinas

Joey was a beloved husband, son, brother,uncle and friend. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Joey. He loved evenings with family and friends, listening to music, bbqing, singing karaoke, fishing, camping, and watching the Dallas Cowboys, SA Spurs, and Houston Astros. Joey was a proud board member of his community HOA and proud to have played in a band in his younger days. He had a big heart and loved everyone. Joey was very loving and giving and brought a lot of joy to everyone around him. He lived to love his wife, (his Love) Erika.

He is preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Salinas.

Joey is survived by his wife, Erika Salinas; mother, Esther Trevino Salinas; three brothers, Ben (Olga) Salinas, Jorge (Adriana) Salinas, Jerry (Chris) Salinas; nieces and nephews Alyssa Salinas, BJ Salinas, Lia Salinas Ryan Ayala, Alexa Salinas, Alina Salinas, Emily Salinas, Rebecca Ayala, Hunter Salinas, Jenna Ayala, and Jacob Hix; father and mother in-law Armando and Juanita Garcia; sister’s in-law Eliza (Tyler) Hix and Edna (Richie) Ayala. And their beloved dogs Kahleesi and Taylor. Pallbearers for the service will be Ben Salinas, Jorge Salinas, Jerry Salinas, BJ Salinas, Ricardo Ayala, and Ryan Ayala. Honoraries will be Hunter Salinas and Tyler Hix.

Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 11 pm, with a 7 pm rosary on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr, TX. Visitation will resume at 8:30 am following a Catholic Mass at 10 am, July 31, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg, TX. Burial will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr, TX.

Funeral services are under the direction of Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr,TX.
