Jesus was born August 9, 1969 to Severiano and Graciela A. Vela in Edinburg. He was a lifetime resident of San Juan. He was a gentleman with a heart of gold, always vigilant for his family and advocating for the children of our community. His mother was always his priority, he ensured she never wanted for anything. Jesus was an entrepreneur at heart, enjoyed traveling to new places, and was always motivating the children in his life to read and obtain a higher education. Mr. Vela had a Master’s Degree in Education and was pursuing his Doctorate. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Mr. Vela’s smile and charisma is going to be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Your wings were ready but our hearts were not. We will miss you.
