He was born on January 10, 1948 in China, Nuevo León, Mexico and his remarkable journey of family and sacrifice touched the lives of many. Gumercindo is survived by his wife, Josefina Ramirez, who stood by his side throughout the highs and lows of life. Their enduring bond was a source of strength and inspiration to all who knew them. As a father, Gumercindo was a pillar of support and guidance. His unwavering commitment to his family was evident in the unconditional love he showered upon his children. He provided them with a strong foundation, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and to always strive for excellence. His children fondly remember his gentle demeanor, his wisdom, and the countless hours he dedicated to listening and imparting his valuable advice.Gumercindo's role as a grandfather brought him immense joy. He doted on his nine grandchildren, filling their lives with laughter and creating cherished memories. He reveled in their accomplishments and took great pride in watching them grow into remarkable individuals. His love for his grandchildren was boundless, and his influence will forever shape their lives. In his spare time, Gumercindo enjoyed immersing himself in nature. He found solace in the great outdoors, whether it was tending to his yard or keeping busy by fully engaging himself in whatever home project he could conjure. His appreciation for the simple joys of life served as a reminder to those around him to find beauty in the smallest things. Although Gumercindo's physical presence will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, compassion, and resilience. As family and friends gather to celebrate his life, they will find comfort in the knowledge that Gumercindo's spirit will continue to guide and inspire them.
Gumercindo is survived by his wife, Josefina Ramirez; his children, Iliana Galvan (and spouse, Damaso Arnoldo Galvan), Iris Ochoa, Jose Santana Ramirez (and spouse, Annabel Ramirez) , Gumercindo Ramirez Jr., Armando Ramirez (and spouse, Stephanie Ramirez); and his grandchildren, Idania Galvan, Jose Angel Ramirez, Alyssa Galvan, Sebastian Ramirez, Angela Gabrielle Ochoa, Eduardo Ochoa Jr, Arnoldo Andres Galvan, Mariajose Ochoa, Alani Chanel Ramirez.
A visitation for Gumercindo will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, Texas 78577, followed by a chapel service at 6:00 PM.
