Vida "Lucile" Johnson

On Thursday, September 26, 2024 in the early morning hours, Our beloved Mother was called home by the Lord at the age of 93. She was born on February 27, 1931 in Galveston, Texas to Jerry and Ethel Curry Merritt.

She enjoyed visiting with her family and friends, socializing, listening to her classic country and gospel music, and dancing. Her incredible sense of humor and storytelling made her a joy to be around.

She loved her children, Carol Johnson, Lester “Butch” Johnson and wife Denise, and Brenda Johnson Ishee, and husband Greg.

She had seven grandchildren, Kathy Lorenz and husband Jason, Sara Wilcox and husband Shawn, Cheryl Johnson, Katie Paustian, Tyler Ishee, Crystal Williams and husband Wade, Karen Averett and husband Jason.

She had ten great grandchildren, Addison Lorenz, Hunter and Chase Wilcox, Sophie Paustian, Travis and Blake Williams, Lelia Schoenfeldt, Madeline Martin, Cameron and Joel Averett. and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, husband Lester Johnson, and granddaughter, Tracy Johnson.

The honorary pallbearers are Tyler Ishee, Darren Schuessler, Ross Hardy and Shawn Wilcox.

The Celebration of Life Services will be held Thursday, October 3rd, 2024 at 1:30 p.m., Cook Walden Capital Park Mausoleum Chapel in Pflugerville with visitation beginning at 12 pm.
