Teresa Ann (Wilcox) Templeton - "T", 54 years old of Round Rock, Texas passed away Thurs., January 23, 2015 in her home surrounded by her family, ending her over eight year battle with cancer. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend of many, many people who loved her deeply; for that is how she loved others.
Teresa was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on June 22, 1960 to her parents John and Ruby Wilcox. She traveled extensively throughout her childhood years, as her father was enlisted in the United States Air Force. In 1978 Teresa graduated from LBJ High School in Austin, Texas and enrolled in Southwest Texas State University. After two years Teresa enrolled in The University of Texas Austin where she ended up attaining her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree on August 20, 1984.
During those college years Teresa met and married the love of her life and husband William R. Templeton in a double wedding ceremony (with her sister & her sister's husband) on June 11, 1983. On February 23, 1988 Teresa and William were blessed with their beautiful and loving daughter Holly Ann.
Teresa worked at the Texas Department of Public Safety from 1988 to 2014. She was a valued, trusted employee and gained many friendships during her work years. Teresa was also a top notch baker. She designed and baked cakes as a hobby. She used her artistic talents to create unique cakes for every occasion and theme.
On May 10, 2014 her daughter Holly married Wesley R. Seigmund of Lexington, Texas. Teresa had a wonderful laugh and would always make others around her laugh. She had a loving, kind personality and everyone who knew her felt blessed by her kindness.
Teresa is survived by her husband William R. Templeton of Round Rock, Texas; loving mother Ruby A. Wilcox of Austin, Texas; her daughter Holly Ann Seigmund and husband Wesley Seigmund of Lexington, Texas; her sister Cynthia Parker and husband Gary Parker of Washington and their children John Parker, Shelby Parker & Lindsay Parker-Sanchez and husband Gregg Sanchez and their children Ada, Ben & Lysette of Washington; her Aunt Arlene and Uncle Eric Graepp of Illinois, Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Lyle Wilgers of Colorado, Aunt Edie and Uncle Bob Lewis of Oklahoma; her cousins Gretchen and Tim Haskett of Illinois and their children Austin & Aubrey; Heidi Green of Illinois and her children Ryan & Rebecca; Liesel Graepp of Illinois; Dennis and Lisa Wilgers of Missouri and their children Kyle and Chelsea; Lynell Bradshaw of Colorado and her son Rigby; Pamela Dewitt of Missouri and her children Caleb and Haley; Paul and Rosemary Lewis of Oklahoma and their children Phillip, Michael & Megan, John Paul and Catherine; James and Laura Lewis of California and their children Elizabeth, Hannah and Ryan.
Mother-in-Law Rita Templeton of Austin; brother-in-law Bobby & Janet Templeton of North Carolina and their daughter Amanda; sister-in-law Cordelia and John Lovelady of Leander and their children Tara and Dustin; brother-in-law Charles and Audrey Templeton of Georgetown and their children Courtney, Hannah and Mikah; brother-in-law Ende and Michelle Templeton of Austin and their children Jessica & Abby; pet grand-doggies - Bo & Sweet Pea; as well as numerous close friends and co-workers very near and dear to Teresa and her family.
Teresa is predeceased by her loving father John Edwin Wilcox of Austin; father-in-law William Robert Templeton of Austin; grandparents Johnathan and Lucille Wilcox of Kansas; grandparents Harold and Zelma Fogelson of Oklahoma; nephew Christopher Templeton of Austin; and very special pets over the years Fifi, Misty, Sugar, Mears, Missy, Goldie, Lucy and Maggie.
Service to be held at Cook Walden Capital Parks in Pflugerville, Texas at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 27th, 2015. Cook Walden Capital Parks, 14501 North IH 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. The family would like to honor Teresa's wish of donations to Hospice of Austin or the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
