She was born in Stamford, Texas to Raymond and Dixie Miller. She met and married the love of her life, B.J. Barnett, and they married in Abilene, Texas, on January 11, 1969. While they lived in many different towns and states through the years, they eventually settled in Round Rock, Texas in 1991, where they happily lived in what would become their beautiful forever home.
Throughout Susan’s long and full life, she was a glowing light of strength and happiness, and an inspiration to her family and many dear friends. She was a beautiful, kind, gentle and funny soul who lived life to the fullest. She never met a stranger and if you were lucky enough to know her then you were a “friend” and never forgot her. Susan believed that laughter was the cure for many things and had many “bumper sticker” stories to tell.
Susan was an artist in interior design, loved live music and dancing but most of all it was her circle of friends and family that brought her the most joy. She will be missed in our physical world, but her spirit will live on in those whose lives she touched.
Susan is preceded in death by her beloved husband, B.J. Barnett and her parents, Raymond and Dixie Miller.
Susan is survived by her son Scott, his wife Cassie and their children Spencer and Parker Barnett, son Steven and his children Hannah, Rachel, and James Barnett; her brothers, Kem Miller and Russell Miller; her niece, Leslie Wilkins, nephew Mike Miller and many many other loved family and friends.
