Patrick Henry Doyle, 85, of Austin, died February 7, 2021. He was born on October 16, 1935 in Houston, Texas as the son of Ed and Ella Doyle. Pat was married to his beautiful wife, Jean Foyt Doyle, on October 18, 1958, and they shared over 55 years together. He served in the Texas National Guard for eight years and received the expert marksmanship medal. Pat retired from the City of Austin Electric Department after 34 years of service.
Pat will be remembered most for his infinite love for his children, granddaughters, and great-grandchildren. He found so much happiness in supporting his sons' and granddaughters' activities from baseball, golf, and kickball to softball and dance. He loved spending time with his family and friends hunting in Colorado, fishing out of Port Aransas, playing Texas holdem, and taking trips to the casinos in Las Vegas and Shreveport. His smile and sense of humor was contagious. He was always a fair, honest, and caring Papa.
Pat is survived by his sons, Scott Doyle, Mitchell Doyle and wife, Cathy; granddaughters, Ashley and husband, Chase Darnell, Cayleigh Doyle, McKenna Doyle, and Carly Doyle; and great grandchildren, Beau and Presley Darnell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Ella Doyle; brothers, George Doyle and wife, Edith, John Doyle and wife, Geneva, Bobby Doyle and wife, Mary; sisters, Ruth and husband, Roy Drousche, Dorothy Sims and Mary Richards; father-In-law and mother-in-law, Rudolph & Lilly Foyt; sister-in-law, Lavern and husband, Fred Miller; brother-in-law, Leroy Foyt and wife, Hazel; brother-in-law, Rudy Foyt and wife, Vernell.
Visitation will be Friday, February 26, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with funeral services following on Saturday, February 27, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m., both at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 North Lamar Blvd. Austin, Texas 78705.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
