Pat is survived by her husband, Randall Jones; her son Scott Jones and wife Christina and their children – Jordan, Hunter, Riley, Gunnar, Samuel and Makenna; her son Brent Jones and wife Poppy and their children – Bryce and Lainey; her daughter Lauren Gordon and husband Marty, and their children Lindsey, Kayla and Haley. She is preceded in death by her parents Murl Nash and Lennie Nash.
Pat was born on November, 3, 1947 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Murl and Lennie Nash. She married Randall on July 12, 1968 after being set up on a blind date by Randall’s father. After moving to College Station for Randall to finish his degree, Pat began working in the Administration Office at Texas A&M University. In 1972, the couple moved to Round Rock, where Pat worked for Round Rock Insurance. In 1987, Randall and Pat started Randall Jones Engineering. Pat handled the bookkeeping and human resources for the company while raising her three kids. She was very involved with her kids’ activities and was always a member of the PTA at the kids’ schools. Pat and Randall lived at 500 Virginia Drive in Round Rock for over 20 years. Their house was always open to their neighbors and friends. There are several kids that considered Pat to be their second mom and her house to be their second home. For the past 10 years, Pat and Randall enjoyed traveling the country in their motorhome. Pat’s favorite times were when the entire family spent summer holiday’s at the lake house on Lake LBJ. Countless “issues” were resolved over coffee on the deck at the lake.
Pat was accomplished at quilting and crocheting and often made things for the grandkids. She loved it when one of the grandkids showed interest and would sit still long enough to crochet with her. Pat was a dedicated individual who loved talking with people and who was passionate about helping others through tough times. She was an active and dedicated member of Celebration Church and served as a ministering elder.
The visitation will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks in Pflugerville, Texas on Tuesday, October 30th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Celebration Church in Georgetown, Texas with a graveside service following at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Pat’s life.
