He was born on May 2, 1963 to Santiago and Juana in Cuba. Oscarito graduated from El Instituto Superior Pedagogico de Holguin and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. In 1983, he married Magalys Puga and went on to have two children, Rainel and Raicel.
Oscarito had a career as a Physical Education Professor in Cuba and after moving to the United States of America in 2004 worked at Hilton Austin for the last 19 years.
He had a passion for sports, fishing, cooking, family, and life.
Oscar was predeceased by Aide, Juana, Santiago, and Manolin. He is survived by Magalys, Rainel, Raicel, Dylan, Ryder, Santiago, Yanelis and Amauris.
A visitation for Oscar will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. A prayer service will immediately follow beginning at 7:00 p.m.
