Milton “Mike” Hammer, Sr., 71, of Hutto, TX passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016. He was born March 22, 1945 in Houston, Texas to Milton and Margaret "Peggy" Derr Hammer. Milton was a member of the IBEW #716 for many years and owned an electrical contracting company, Ball Electric, before retiring.
He will be greatly missed by all that survive him including his wife of 52 years, Margaret; daughters Michele Renae Hammer and partner, Sherry Fairclough, of Liberty Hill, TX; Patrice Chere Hollenshead and husband, Kevin, of Flower Mound, TX; Tiffany Dawn Toper and husband, Ray, of Clearwater, FL; son Milton Ray Hammer, Jr. and wife Wanda, of Hutto, TX; grandchildren, Stephanie Rae Hernandez, Cody Wayne Hammer, Sydney Layne Hammer, Ryan Michael Hollenshead, Ian Patrick Hollenshead, Tyler James Toper, Ethan Barrett Toper; great-grandchildren Skyler Allen Herbert and Tristan Wayne Hernandez.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his uncle, Bobby Ray Hammer.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a funeral service beginning at 7:00 pm at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, TX. Graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Brookside Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
