Connie was born in Austin, Texas on May 8, 1945. As a military spouse, she lived in many different places including Texas, Massachusetts, Kansas, and Germany.
Connie had a deep passion for God, her family, sewing, traveling, and giving of her heart, mind, and soul.
She loved traveling to new places overseas like England, France, Germany, Scotland, Switzerland, Hawaii, and more.
Left behind to cherish Connie’s memory is her daughter, Nina Denise Sosa-Simmons; son-in-law, Bobby Joe Simmons, Jr.; sons, Albert, Kenneth, and Frederick Sosa; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Sosa; grandchildren: Angelica Marie Simmons-Hancock, Ian Villela, Danielle Nicole Sosa, Alexander Robert Simmons, Adelina Ciara Sosa, and Nathan Sosa; her sister, Amparo Torres; brothers, and Manuel Castillo Vasquez; and five great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 12, 2020 followed by a recitation of the rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. in The Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at St. Albert The Great Catholic Church in Austin, Texas followed by a committal service and burial in Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
