Mrs. Ramirez loved her family very much. She showed her love through her sewing, knitting, making tamales and pastries for all to enjoy. She was a generous person who made friends easily. She was a very strong woman. Her belief in God and the Virgin Mary gave her the courage to undertake this latest test in her life, to continue her journey to everlasting life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerardo Ramirez; son, Ruben Armando Ramirez; siblings, Domitila Torres, Juanita Rosales, Felix Posada, Olga Posada; and son-in-law, Armando Martinez.
Mrs. Ramirez is survived by sons, Humberto (Mary), Rogelio (Marta), Juan (Ana); daughters Edelmira (Isidro) Abrego, Oralia Ramirez, Lydia Martinez (widow of Armando Martinez); brother, Rolando Posada; daughter-in-law Cecilia Ramirez (widow of Ruben Armando Ramirez); 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
We wish to acknowledge our gratitude and appreciation to Seton Northwest Hospital "4th Floor" and to the Austin RNC Retirement + Nursing Center. The care by the nurses, assistants, and personnel was extraordinary and will never be forgotten.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Memorial Chapel with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.
