Kevin Shannon Kelly

Son of Diane Marie (Schmidt), and Frederic Kelly Sr., he was born April 18, 1966 in Austin, Texas. He graduated McCallum High School in 1984 and entered the Navy shortly after, serving proudly and stationed at the NAVCAMS EASTPAC in Wahiawa, HI.

He worked as facilities management throughout his adult life. In 1998 he married Mandy and moved to Round Rock in 1999. In 2001, his only child, Kathryn, was born.

He was preceded to heaven by his mother, father and brother, Frederic (Freddie) Kelly. He is survived by his wife, Manda (Mandy) Smith Kelly and daughter, Kathryn Kelly both of Round Rock, Texas.

Kevin spent a large portion of his life being a caretaker for his mother, grandmother, and inlaws. We were ready to focus on our golden years together. Kevin was a loved husband, father, uncle, cousin, brother, friend and dog daddy. His passing was sudden and unexpected. While we lost our most beloved husband and father, many have lost a friend. He has been a rock to many, a master at sarcastic humor and witty timing to others, and even a glorious pain in the neck. There was so much more to him than just husband and father. He was an Austin native. He loved golfing, 80’s rock and UT Football. He was an ametuer meteorologist and incredibly lucky at lotto and slot machines. He could beat everyone at name that tune - 80’s edition! He had an easy smile and could talk to anyone.
