Jesse Freeman White was born on February 14, 1948, in Pittsburg, PA to Alter White and Vietta Bostic White. Jesse was a graduate of Oliver High School in Pittsburg, PA. Jesse went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Pittsburgh (Robert Norris University). Jesse served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1970 as a Military Police; Jesse made Staff Sergeant before receiving an Honorable Discharge. Jesse resided in Dallas for a short time before moving to Austin Texas in 1989 where he met the love of his life Rose Hogan. He and Rose shared a special bond until his death. Jesse enjoyed hosting his friends and family at their home for holidays and occasions. He loved people, playing cards, and dominoes with his friends. Jesse was a man of many talents. He loved traveling, spending time with his grandkids and conversations with his many friends. Jesse was an avid Pittsburg Steeler fan. Until Jesse’s health failed him he worked for Explore and IBM as an Administrative Business Consultant for many years.
Jesse is preceded in death by his father Alter White, his mother Vietta Bostic White, sisters Rosalie Reese, Georgia White, Elizabeth White Lining his brothers Earl White and Philip White. He leaves to cherish his memories his love Rose Hogan, Dorothy White Reid, Willie J White (Katherine), Ernest White (Diane) and his three sons Jesse Jr, Jarmal and Shontae White, his three step children Alfred Hogan III (Angela), Nedra Hogan and Tony Hogan, 15 grandkids and a host of many nieces, nephews and friends.
