Irene was a loving and caring mother to everyone, always putting her family first. From a young age, she was helping her parents that were visually impaired. When she met her first love Angel De La Rosa Jr, they enjoyed music and dancing. She especially enjoyed baking birthday cakes for her five beautiful daughters as well as her nieces and nephews. Irene held many hats in the restaurant industry for many years but retired when her family needed her. She helped Delores care for her children and later in life helped her granddaughter Monica, care for her husband, Ovidio. Irene loved her family above all. Her family expanded when she found love again and married Concepcion V. Sanchez in 1994. They enjoyed music festivals, picnics, barbeques and playing with their family dogs: Dukey, Dukey II and Taco Bell. Most recently, Irene found joy in simple things like watching the Longhorns and the Cowboys with her grandsons, Paul and Alex, as well as watching her novelas every night. She loved playing games, on her computer, tablet and cellphone. Bingo was her favorite game of all and loved it whenever her family would join her. She was always up for a road trip whether it was to San Juan or to the nearest casino. Every weekend she looked forward to going out to breakfast and shopping with her family. Irene will be missed by many and remembered by all for her big, caring heart.
Special thanks to her physicians, Dr. Garcia, Dr. Dallas (pulmonary), Dr. Bhatt and other medical staff, that helped Irene manage her COPD and heart failure.
