Born May 5, 1935 in San Saba, Texas, Charles was the son of Charles and Essie (Tyler) Justis, Sr. His parents preceded him in death, as did his sister, Lilly Craven, and nephew, Bret Jae Justis.
A former resident of Llano, Rev. Justis established Wyldwood Baptist Church in Cedar Creek, Texas. During his career, he pastored many Baptist Churches, retiring from Silver Creek Baptist Church, in Silver Creek, Texas. He then returned to Cedar Creek to become an active member of Wyldwood Baptist Church. Rev. Justis was also active in the Southern Baptist Convention, was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and was affiliated with C & B Properties.
Charles is survived by his wife, Bettye Justis; his daughter Tammy Justis and her partner, Teri Newman, all of Cedar Creek, TX; daughter, Sherry McDaniel and husband, Thomas; grandchildren, Dylan, Logan, Olevia, and Aubrey McDaniel, all of Rockport; granddaughter, Raelyn Cox of Taylor; brother, Jackie Justis and wife, Karla of Llano; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends and his beloved dog, Bella.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2011 at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 20, at the Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, at Eastlawn Cemetery in Early, Texas.
