RYAN, Ronald George FIIC. Retired after 43 years, Branch Manager, Pilot Insurance Co, Toronto, Hamilton and Peterborough. Avid handyman and gardener who built the family cottage on Jack Lake in 1957 (with his father). - Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Friday, May 31, 2013 at Fairhaven Long Term Care, in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Lois Ryan (nee Yates). Dear father of Rick (Elaine) of St. Catharines, Doug (Karen) of Peterborough and the late David (1976) and two infant twin daughters (1960). Proud Grandpa/Papa of Leslie Ann (Matt Rennette), Stephen, Kealan, and Maike. Great-grandfather of Preston. Dear brother of Doreen Knapman (late Jack) of Stouffville, and brother-in-law of Tom Yates (Nancy) of Bobcaygeon. Ronald will also be remembered by his daughter-in-law Colleen Trim of Kitchener, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 11:00 am, with visiting one hour prior (10:00-11:00 am). In honour of Ron, donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Fairhaven Foundation would be appreciated.
