Robert Edward Gibbons

Peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on

Monday, March 5, 2012 in his 97th year. Predeceased by

Grace (Cordell) his loving wife of 58 years. Loving father

of Robert Jr. (Fenny) and Ron (Rose). Dear grandfather of

Leanne Goode (Steve), Cheryl Loumanis (Alex), Kara

Leiskau (Dan) and Jeff Gibbons & friend Jessica. Great

grandfather of Hannah, Liam, Olivia, Mason, Addison,

Trenton, Kalen, Jess and Josh. Bob and Grace settled

in Peterborough in 1941 where they remained throughout

their lives. Bob enjoyed a successful career retiring as a

V.P. of Outboard Marine after 37.5 years. Bob enjoyed

many years of boating with Grace and many of their friends.

Bob & Grace spent many enjoyable winters away in Florida.

Bob will be fondly remembered by family, nieces and

nephews and his friend Marjorie Godson. Friends are invited

to call at the KAYE FUNERAL HOME ‘MEMORIAL CHAPEL

’ 539 George Street, N., on Friday March 9th from 11:00 a.m.

to 12:00 p.m. followed by Service in the Chapel at 12:00 p.m.

Interment Rosemount Memorial Gardens. The family would

like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Beamish and all the

Palliative Care Staff at P.R.H.C. and all the wonderful staff

at Applewood Retirement Residence. Donations to the

Cancer Society or the P.R.H.C. Palliative Care would be

appreciated by the family.
