Teal, Mr. Richard (Rick) Reginald; Suddenly at Royal Gardens Retirement Residence, Peterborough on May 31, 2020 in his 75th year. Rick was retired from Canada Customs in Ottawa where he had worked for thirty plus years. He enjoyed many leisure activities including softball, curling, bowling, etc. but mainly Rick was a big game hunter. As an avid sportsman, Rick was the backbone of the Camp Baldy Hunt Club, but as well, he travelled most of Ontario searching for bear, deer, moose and turkey (no one could tidy up a harvested deer faster than Rick). He also reloaded ammunition and toward the end of his career enjoyed a bucket list hunting trip to South Africa. In retirement, he would travel to many outdoor events as an official Boone and Crockett Club scorer measuring horn and antler sizes. Rick was the beloved son of the late Lloyd and Irene Teal. Dear brother of Linda Bayly (Graham) of Omemee. Loving uncle of Geoffrey (Ana), Christian, Ryan and Matthew. Great uncle of Madelaine, Emily, Genevieve, Lily, Iain and Alora. At the request of Rick, private family arrangements have been made with Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre. In memory of Rick, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society.
