Neil served for 10 years as Reeve of Chandos Township and Councilor on Peterborough County Council. He served as a Director on the Board of the Peterborough Civic Hospital and Chaired that board during that hospital’s merger with St. Joseph’s Health Centre to form the present day Peterborough Regional Health Centre. As the first board Chair of PRHC, Neil led the planning, construction and completion of the present day PRHC site. Neil was a long time licensed Amateur Radio operator and enjoyed the many friends he met as an active member of the Peterborough Amateur Radio Club.
He was a wonderful husband, Dad, Granddad and friend. Above all, he was an outstanding father, friend and mentor to his two sons who will miss him most dearly. A very kind, caring and considerate gentleman, always offering to help, always thinking of others first, he was well loved and respected by everyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family and wide circle of friends.
