So very sorry to have read about the loss of Mike.  I have known the family for many years.  I grew up in the same neighborhood as Mike and his sisters.  My Condolences to all the family at this very sad time.

Mike was a big part of a group of very special friends in high school and post high school. Although the years have passed and the group has been busy with raising families and all the other things that occupy life we cherish that special time and a very special guy who has now left us. We will forever have the memories to hold dear - cheers Mike!

I always looked forward to seeing Mike at lacrosse and getting caught up on what was going on in each other's lives. He was a great guy to talk to and even when we were on opposite sides you could bet we would have more laughs than running. I will miss my defense partner. He was a great person. 

I worked with Mike at Quaker for 6 years. He was the most understanding, helpful and level-headed man in that building. He took the time to teach me and guide me when I had no idea what I was doing. He truly gave me skills that will follow me for the rest of my life. He was one of the few people I made a true effort to say goodbye to when I left last year. One thing I’ll always remember: He used to write us little notes on his white board on line 17 to make us laugh. They were little jabs at us, the management team. But all in good fun. I am so sorry for your loss, Cannon family. I will be watching the live stream to be there from the North. He was a great man, gone much, much too soon. 

I played lacrosse with Mike for several years in Peterborough. He was a great guy to have on one's team. I recall a great time playing in a fundraising euchre tournament with Mike a few years back. He will be missed.

So many years have passed since we first met at Lake St Peter. Playing games at the Orioles Nest to camp fires down in the camp. Lately it was meeting you and your lovely wife at Costco and making comments about if I had your nuts. You always brought a smile to my face each time we saw each other.  Rest easy my friend. Mike (Dad), like me and others from across Canada, was a new Discussion Leader with Unifor.  In our training we all supported each other, laughed a lot and yes, we even cried.  I will always be grateful that I met Mike.  He was a sincerely kind person....funny, bright and sweet.  A truly good man.  I send you my heart felt sympathy.  RIP Dad.

Mike always had a hug to share. Demonstrated how kind and generous he was as a friend.
And was forthwith in his Native heritage for all to know and was very proud to be a pale, red haired Aboriginal. 
He loved his Bouro Boys.
And his greatest traits were his sense of humor and love of family and friends. ❤

Mike was affectionately known as DAD to his extended Unifor family and colleagues. He was loved by so many. Our deepest condolences. RIP Brother.
