After a life well lived, the family of Margaret Heath sadly announce her unexpected, peaceful passing on Saturday, April 1, 2023 in her home with her daughter Janice by her side. Born in 1926 to Charles and Maria Caravaggie. Predeceased by her husband Carl Heath (April 30 1996). Loving mother of Carol Rylott (Ron), Janice Burke (Bruce), Nancy Howden (Chris), and Paul Heath. Proud Gramzie to Bob, Matt (Rachel), Amanda (Mark), Craig (Kylee), Ryan (Courtney), Jessica, and Brad (Thea). Predeceased by her siblings Nick, Joe, Freddie, Tony, Mike, Grace, Paul, Helen, and Rita. Predeceased by her in-laws Marie and Gerry Murduff. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Over her 96 years mom had a very close bond with all of her children and grandchildren and formed many strong friendships. Mom loved getting together with family and friends on the golf course, playing cards or just sitting around the dinner table. She taught us our love for good food and cooking. Anyone could come into her home and she always had room for them at the table. Marg worked as a Pharmacist’s Assistant at Towers Pharmacy. She enjoyed swimming and was a member of the Holiday Inn Pool Club for many years. A Life Member of Kawartha Golf Club, she continued golfing into her 97th year. She kept her mind sharp with her love of reading and crosswords.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Tim Kerr, Dr. Richard Binnette, Dr. Andrew Binnette and Staff for their dedication to Mom’s health care over the years. It takes a village to stay in your own home and retain your independence at 96. Margaret was blessed with a village of family, neighbours and friends. Our special thanks to Larry for his years of support.
Margaret’s family will receive friends at The Cathedral of St. Peter in Chains, 411 Reid Street, Peterborough, on Thursday, April 6th, 2023 from 10-11 a.m. for visitation, followed by a mass at 11 a.m. Reception following at Kawartha Golf Club, 777 Clonsilla Ave. Peterborough. In honour of Margaret, donations to the PRHC Foundation would be greatly appreciated by her family. Online condolences can be made at www.comstockkaye.com.
