Jo-Ann Kathleen Brown, born on July 31, 1947, in Ottawa, ON to Wilna and Collins Brown. In life, Jo-Ann embraced a spirit of adventure, which she learned while growing up in small towns across Ontario. This zest for life remained with her until her peaceful passing on Monday September 30, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family after a stroke.
Jo-Ann is lovingly remembered by her son, Zachary, and daughter-in-law, Lisa, as well as her cherished grandchild, Austin. She is also survived by her devoted sister, Susan, brother-in-law, Albert, and their three sons, Dylan, Matthew, and Nicolas along with their respective wives and children.
After a fulfilling 26-year career in real estate, Jo-Ann retired in early 2024, having made significant contributions in real estate across the Peterborough area. Her dedication to her clients was evident in her tireless efforts to help them find their perfect homes.
Beyond her professional life, Jo-Ann had a passion for scrapbooking, traveling, particularly to the Maritimes, and gardening. She cherished her time with friends and family and was an enthusiastic card player, always ready to share laughter and good company.
A memorial service will be held in Jo-Ann’s honour in the chapel at the COMSTOCK-KAYE LIFE CELEBRATION CENTRE 356 Rubidge Street on Saturday November 9, 2024 at 12:00 pm. followed by a reception.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in her memory.
